Trung Hoang is a Boston-based technical artist and 3D artist, brings 14+ years of experience to the intersection of art and technology, with a background in industrial design. He is enthusiastic about transforming concepts into real-time, immersive experiences using Unreal Engine 5. He has experience with the full production pipeline, which includes everything from 3D concept and 3D production (modelling, rigging, and animation) to assembling inside Unreal Engine, all achieved through an optimised and procedural workflow that addresses artistic needs, flexible version control, performance, and technical limitations in video game production.

At Tesse Holding, I worked as a 3D designer and technical artist on Life On Mars, which is backed by investors including Polkastarter and Morningstar Ventures, with a primary focus on environment art and visual direction. I was responsible for shaping the overall look and feel of both interior and exterior environments, translating concept ideas into cohesive, production-ready scenes within Unreal Engine.
In addition to 3D design, I contributed to technical art implementation by developing optimised materials, modular asset setups, and real-time lighting solutions. I collaborated closely with game designers and developers, maintained visual consistency, and met real-time performance requirements.
At Vight Bespoke Lighting, I worked as a senior 3D designer, specialising in high-end product visualisations and sculptural lighting designs. My role covered the entire production pipeline, from CAD-based 3D modelling and design refinement to photorealistic rendering. I was responsible for transforming complex design concepts into accurate, production-ready 3D assets while maintaining a high level of visual quality.
In addition, I developed procedural materials systems that enabled real-time customisation, ensuring those assets were compatible with modern GPU-based rendering pipelines. I enhanced product visual quality using Blender and Unreal Engine, creating immersive visual experiences for both presentation and marketing purposes. I also produced motion graphics content for seasonal and holiday campaigns, supporting product promotion and brand communication.
Standpoint Theories – Vietnam Edition is a collaboration between 13 artists to produce an audio-visual narrative of 6 legendary Vietnamese myths using live music, dance, visual art, 3D mapping and animation. Featuring vocalist Lê Cát Trọng Lý.
The project presented as an evening-length interactive dance performance inspired by six well-known Vietnamese Myths:
– The legendary story of Âu Cơ, an immortal mountain fairy who married Lạc Long Quân
– The God of Tản Viên Mountain known as, Sơn Tinh
– Chử Đồng Tử – a marsh boy
– Princess Liễu Hạnh, a heavenly spirit and Mother Goddess
– Bà Chúa Xứ known as Lady of the Realm
